In the morning of November 28th, the 5000-ton bulk carrier built by Longfei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for UP Trans officially started. Huang Xin, deputy general manager of UP Trans, led the company’s shipping department, operation department, and administrative department to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony. At the same time, leaders of the Yiyang Maritime Safety Administration and related technical personnel also visited the groundbreaking ceremony, carefully inspected the shipbuilding materials and asked questions about each steps of construction progress, etc.

After the construction in the morning, the most basic pendulum pier has been completed for the new ship project, and the steel plate at the bottom of the ship is slowly being laid. At the same time, the skin walls and trapezoidal materials of the ship's longitudinal bulkheads began to be welded, and hemming materials were also being produced. The new ship construction site is in full swing, and the highly anticipated prototype of the big ship is slowly emerging. It is understood that this ship is a 5000-ton bulk carrier of UP Trans, with a length of 99.8 meters, a width of 16.8 meters and a depth of 5 meters.
The construction period of this ship is expected to be 3 months. The entire ship construction process will be carried out under the supervision of the ship inspection department. Our company will appoint professionals onsite to ensure that the ship construction is completed smoothly and on time.

At present, UP Trans has 3 inland water vessels, Changtong 1, Xiangjiang 1, and Xiangjiang 2. After the completion of the new ship, it will increase the carrying capacity of UP Trans' vessels by 5,000 tons, which will greatly increase the carrying capacity of our own vessels and expand company's overall transportation scale.
