On May 28th, 2019, the first self-built ship of UP Trans was launched successfully. Yang Heyu, General Manager of UP Trans, Huang Xin, Deputy General Manager of UP Trans and General Manager of Lushen Company, led the vessel members, as well as representatives of the operation department and administration department, management and technical personnel of the ship manufacturer, and maritime supervisory personnel to participate and witness the launching ceremony together.

The launching process of the newly-built ship started from 7:58am to 10:55am. The launch of the entire ship was very smooth.

UP Trans’ first self-built new ship started manufacture on November 28th, 2018, and was meticulously make for 5 months. Our company arranged special personnel to supervise on site for quality inspection during the entire shipbuilding process. The maritime department and company leaders monitor the whole process, and pay great attention to the quality of ship manufacture.
The first self-built ship of UP Trans is a bulk carrier with a length of 99.8 meters, a width of 16.8 meters, a load capacity of 5,000 tons, setting up with automatic scaffolding. The new ship's routes are mainly based on the Yangtze River Basin, Xiangjiang River Basin and its tributaries, and carry bulk cargo such as grain, ore, coal, and steel.

The captain, maintenance and crew of the self-built new ship have all arrived on duty. The maiden voyage of the new ship is scheduled to start on June 10th. After the launch of the new ship, equipment commissioning and sea trials have been carried out in full swing.

UP Trans already owns 3 inland water vessels. After the new ships are put into operation, UP Trans’ own capacity will exceed 15,000 tons, which will greatly increase the carrying capacity of our group’s own vessels and expand the company’s overall transportation scale and company assets.
